Blending in two images - softly (and many of them).

These are some of the possible results you may want.

1/. First the original image - of the girl.

2/. Second the background image.

3/. To the original image.

3.1 Using the quick selection tool, (fourth down on the toolbar, with the magic wand tool).

Select all the parts of the image you need, but that is not all. In this example the girls was selected but not the background in her image.

3.2 Once selected copy/paste the selected part to the background image.

3.3 Use the move tool to position the original image (layer 1) where you want it to sit.

3.4 Click outside the image to deselect them.

3.5 Now to change the intensity of your original image to the background. Here you will select the original image (Layer 1) and using the layers dialogue window find the tab Normal and click on it. A pop up menu will appear. Here's where you get creative.

3.6 Choose and view your first option. (You will do four of the options to individual images).

Also you may need to drop the opacity down to balance out the intensity.

Save your first creation and name it blend1 as a .jpg file.

3.7 Go back to your .psd (working file) and select a different option (and possibly opacity level).

Save this second creation (and name it as blend2) as a .jpg file.

3.8 Repeat the step above two more times using different optional (and possibly/probably the opacity level).

You can do more if you want to.

Using the examples in the top of this file, here's what was used. plus a number of others.
