Depth of Field Blending in Photoshop

Here's another idea to try.

This is a combination of two images. Open both in Photoshop.

The lamp was first cleared of it's background. There was a proportionate resize of the vertical lamp image to ultimately place it on the horizontal beach.

With a clean background, copy/paste the lamp image onto the top of the beach image and move the top image in this case partially in the ocean.

In the Layers Panel, Add a Vector Mask to the top lamp image and then erase the background.

Then select both Layers and using the Edit/Auto-Blend Layers command and use Stack Layers and then the other defaults.

Then you have a blended image:
