Sound

You can remove the sound and insert a music track or even a voice-over.

In Premiere Pro you can delete the audio track and either insert a MP3 music track, or make and insert a voice-over.

1/. Right Click on the audio track and then select Unlink.

2/. Hit the delete key and the audio is deleted.

3/. To insert an audio track, Import the track and drag onto the timeline below the video. Make sure you crop back the end of the sound to line up with the video. You may need to fade out the sound at the end in Audition.

The important thing is the sound is the same length as the video. This may require work. You may have a short sound track which you may need to repeat the track (in part), then fade out in Audition, as Premiere does not fade out easily.

The steps would be:

Using the timeline find the length required for the music track.

In Audition open the music track.

Find the required length.

Select the last say 10 seconds.

Then select Favourites/Fade Out.

Save the track.

Import it back into Premiere Pro. Drag it across to the Timeline.

Play the movie and listen to the sound.

If all good, save the movie- Export as an MPEG4.

Making a Voiceover.

You first need to watch the video and using the timeline work out where you want to place the voiceover/s.

Record your audio in Audition.

Save the track as an MP3

Import your voiceover into the movie.

Play the movie and check the audio sequencing.

If all good, save as an MPEG4.
