Storyboarding and Camera Angles.

 

A pre-plan for video production is to sketch the scenes. See the example. Basically the storyboard traces the main scene movements, making up a graphical story of events.

Camera Angles

The above Storyboard also shows the various 'shooting' angles:

LS - Long Shot - taking in as much as possible in the lens.

CU - Close Up Shot.

MS - Medium Shot - close up with another person added but not in full view.

WA - Not shown here, but focuses on everything in the main viewing area.
