Creating Montages

1. Find a background image

2. Find a suitable subject image.

6. Now you have a montage and you can use the layers to move the subject images around (and duplicate by resizing if necessary).

7. Duplicate and resizing involves several more steps. First you need to create a new file with a transparent background the same size as the original image.

Copy/Paste the original image, then using by using either the eraser tool, the magic wand tool, or the magnetic lasso tool, remove the subject image background.

You could also use the Layers/Mask Tool. Here copy the secon image onto the background and erase the unwated second images background, leaving a clear forground image.

Resize the image to the required size and save the image as a G.I.F. file (which has a transparent background) and not a .JPG, which would create a white background.

That's how the three elephants are different sizes.
