Storyboarding

 

Simply storyboard is a graphic organiser in the form of illustrations or images displayed in sequence for the purpose of pre-visualising a motion picture, animation, motion graphic or interactive media sequence. (Wikipedia).

The storyboard is graphical but does not need to be a work of art. It is freehand sketch of what is intended to happen and can include details of each frame and scene, where the cast goes and where hey face, where the props go, even camera positioning.
