The Story Tree.
These are the steps needed to plan a good story.
Just like a recipe to make a delicious cake.

The ingredients:
The Planning in writing your story.
1/. Think about the story, what it will be about, where is it set and how it will end.
2/. What is the story complication or problem that needs to be solved.
3/. Who are the characters (and possibly animals/creatures) in the story.
4/. Write sentences and pay attention to your spelling and punctuation.
Mixing the ingredients:
This is the most important part.

5/. Start putting it all together – what is the story plot. (What will be happening).
6/. In order plan what will happen in your story.
7/. Write your story, using as many details as you can. Write more, not less!
8/. When you have completed your first draft of the story, read it to yourself. Make any changes and fill in any missing details.
Bake your cake:

9/. Ready to publish. Check it again and do a spell check!
Taste testing:
Yum and enjoy!
Ask yourself – Does it all make sense and does it flow and is it a good story. When satisfied you have done your best, save it then:-

10/. Re-read it one more time then when happy with it, hand it in for marking.
There is no rushing a good story.
A good story must be interesting. Not always fun, not always a happy ending story, but one you have enjoyed writing and it’s been fun.
Remember - just like making a cake – no rushing it, or it will not taste (read) all that well!
Enjoy – your story telling, just like eating some yummy cake!
