Welcome to Building Two. This is the main entrance to the school. In the afternoon, this is where the parents wait to collect their children. During the day, the students use this area to relax, chat with their friends, do homework or eat snacks. The area is not enclosed so a nice breeze blows through it. This is a popular place to be on hot days.
Normally, the students would take off their shoes once they arrive in this area and then carry them as they go up the stairs. You can keep your shoes on for the time being if you like, but please remove them whenever you enter any room.
During lunchbreak, the students can watch cartoons and videos on two 28 inch televisions in the waiting area. Later on during the day, one of these televisions shows pictures and videos of student activities while the other one shows cartoons. Occasionally, live broadcasts are shown from the classrooms in this area.
Parents start to arrive as early as 2.45 p.m. to pick up their children. While they are waiting they can read newspapers or watch one of the two televisions. As the parents arrive, they hand an i.d. card to the duty teachers who then calls the students over the loudspeakers.
