Checking the Pages and Links All Work

It is important in webpage design to consistently check the webpage in the browser, to ensure it looks the way you want it to look.

Also you need to check that all the links work and there is a return to Home (Index Page) link, taking you back to the Home Page, where you first entered the site.

When creating webpages you cannot link the pages until you have created pages to link to.

The best way to start this off is to create blank pages for each of the link names and save them as the webpage names you are going to create. With the blank pages, you can then create the links, so the links can work from the beginning of your website design.

The Links Table.

On the Index Page, select individually each link name and in the Properties Window there is a folder to the right. Select teh folder and then where the matching webpage is (which at the early stage will be a blank page).

Save the Index Page and then in the browser check all the links work. Having completed that task, you can later copy the Table Row with all the links to each of your other webpages, when they are created. Copy/paste the links row (as a nested table) to each page you create, by selecting the Nested Links Table, which will highlight that Nested Table Row only and NOT the whole Table.

Then when you build each page, you can then overwrite the blank page you first created.

Linking a Thumbnail image to the larger image is easy:

This is a 250px thumbnail. It links to a 1280px image.

The 250px image has a file size of 138k.

The 1600px larger image has a file size 5.4Mb.

The original shot image size is 4000px x 3000px and has a file size of 34.3Mb.
