Sound Editing

You may decide to do a voiceover and remove the video shot soundtrack.

This is achieved by separating the sound track from the video and replacing it with a voiceover, which is recorded after the video has been shot.

The voiceover must be sequenced to each frame and this is done by using a sound storyboard, from a voiceover (narration script) clocking how long each frame lasts.

Once the storyboard is set, the sound recording can be done in two ways:

Shoot your movie.

In the software separate the sound track from the movie and delete the sound track.

Script the scenes to a timeframe.

Using the video camera record the voiceover in a quiet location.

In Premiere do the reverse, delete the video and save the sound track.

In Premiere, insert the voiceover to the sound track.

Play the m movie and ensure both tracks line up.

If they don't, in your script note where there are to be changes and re-do the sound track.

Render the video.

Play the video.

The second way to make your sound track is to use an audio software program such as Audition or Audacity to record your voiceover and follow the above steps.
